At Redbud Schoolhouse, we embrace the whole child approach to learning. Our program relies heavily on being outdoors as much as possible- using things in nature to play and learn is very important for a child's natural development. Gardening, mud play, social play, and art are prevalent.
Research shows a child needs to experience outdoor environments and nature for optimal brain growth and physical health. It contributes to their cognitive development, aids in building social/emotional growth, and vastly improves sensory skills. Playing outside improves attention spans and lead to overall healthier, happier, children. Lastly, being outside greatly reduces stress and anxiety.
Our team is dedicated to cultivating a deep respect for nature and facilitating personalized learning journeys for every child. This is a play-based, child led, early learning program grounded in childhood development research and best practices for early education. We understand the importance of "finding the match" when it comes to learning and we see each child as an individual with unique needs.
